Hogwash</p> we have beaten 1 of the current top 10 teams-Burnley twice</p> we have gained 6 pointsfrom 8 games athome Burnley 3 Brum Bristol C and Preston 1 and only 4 from 8 games away Burnley 3 Swansea 1</p> a significant failingis our inability to beat the bottom sides</p> of the current bottom 6-excluding ourselves we have only gained 9 points from10 games </p> H Plymouth 3 Norwich Charlton 1 Soton Blackpool 0 A Charlton 3 Soton 1 Blackpool Norwich Forest 0</p> we have Forest at home and Plymouth away to try to rectify things</p> the other 21 points have come from 7 wins-5 H and 2 A from 10 games against teams currently 11th to 17th</p> </p> </p>
RE: Surely the teams between 11th and 17th are better than us though nt obviously! it was just the suggestion that the top teams do badly against us which got me posting!
The general trend is that not many teams do badly against us. If it wasn't for the local derbies and a few other generous teams it would be one long tale of woe.
we do seem to pull it out of the bag when needed as well (Birmingham a couple of years ago, Watford away last season)
