Well Said Nudger....... as he clearly doesn't know how to either set up goals or score them. We need someone more up for this league.
RE: You taking the **** DB!? You can question his goal scoring record, but I think stats will prob show that Hayes as one of the higher assist records in the Championship!
RE: You taking the **** DB!? We had scored two goals in eight matches up to saturday. I hardly think he sets up a lot of goals now. I don't remember the last time he set up a goal if i'm honest.
RE: You taking the **** DB!? We scored 4 goals in eight matches. Is that Hayes fault??? I think you will find that it was a down to too many gutless performances by the whole team, not just one person.
31 goals scored in total in the league and Hayes as chipped in with 5 of them. Now that's a poor record for a striker, BUT, in a team that is struggling to score he is probably third highest???

RE: Another example of quickly jumping on a players back!!! Can't understand why people are quick to jump on the guys back.
Who knows why he wants to move back South, probably family reasons BUT I have no doubt that if picked Hayes will give 100% to the club.

Hayes is...................... not strong enough to be a forward e.g. easily knocked off the ball is not fast enough over 10m does not read the game like a championship striker should has a poor engine - soon exhausted does not score enough goals All in all he is a 1st division player We need players of better quality if we are to stay in this league Davey knows it, Hayes will be gone before February
RE: Hayes is...................... Based on these comments, I would say all strikers at Barnsley have atleast 3 of those points! Just sums up the situation. Hayes is one player though that has chipped in with goals (poor record but based on TOTAL GOALS SCORED), and had his hand in a fair few assists.

Barnsley strikers.............. Hayes, Nardia..........1st division Wright, Richards.......2nd division Ritchie thought they were good enough for the championship when they wern't even good enough for us really in the 1st division Watch Davey get rid of the lot Davey has been left with a lot of dead wood to clear out
RE: Barnsley strikers.............. Your opinion I suppose, and I have no issues with that.
The problem I have is when certain people on here quickly jump on a players back and join the 'gang'without looking at the actual facts and figures!

Jumping on players backs................. Mattis for me looks good Only played one game so can't really jump on his back, although some on here have already started Hayes as been with us a long while, so we can judge, and for me he is 1st division standard As for jumping on players backs, I only do it on here or in the pub, I don't do it in the ground
Got a list for you: Please find below a list of current BFC players who are comfortable enough on the ball to give the impression of being able to play Championship football: (1) Brian Howard (2) Paul Hayes I agree with Coachman. I don't think we're mathematically safe yet.
RE: Jumping on players backs................. That's fine. I respect your Opinion Nudger, it isn't the first time you have questioned Hayes and his ability this season... Others though have took the announcement of the Southend bid (not down to Hayes) to jump on his back.
For me Hayes is one player at the club who could turn a game.

Aren't we running down the squad a little too much? Who do we have remaining if all the "league one" players are shipped out? I thought the idea was to add to the squad? The other week, Mr Shepherd tried to move TWO STRIKERS OUT (Richards & Wright) and bring only ONE IN (Constantine). Did he hope no-one would notice?
Dont talk crap! Letting Hayes go for under value would be stupid! Besides he is a good League 1 striker and we might be heading there!
