that's perhaps not a bad thing, is it? rests players a bit, gets some back from injury perhaps. Gets some fitter maybe. Also give a chance for Danny to get in maybe one or two new faces too, as he has hinted at. Blackburn will be a tougher test than Blackpool, but they can do it. Then its the massive, a little while back I was not looking forward to the massive game... BUT now I am relishing it, COG has been given a kick start too... oh it would be just blisss if he got a hat-trick.... and all under dodgy circumstances too.. lol
It'll not do us any harm at all. O'Grady limped off, while McLaughlin was suffering severe cramp so it should give those two lads plenty of time to recover. Plus Bobby will be back training which gives us another option. Maybe we'll also manage to move Scotland and Etuhu out, so Danny is only working with the players he wants. We need another striker, there's no question about that, but if a striker is the only player we sign then I won't mind. I prefer us to have a leaner squad than paying for players to not only sit on the bench, but also sit in the stands. We'll need another right back if we can't extend McLaughlin's loan like, but I'm hoping that's doable.
The only problem with the games being so far apart at the moment is that we signed two players on 28 day loans and they are only going to play 3 or 4 games in that time. On what we saw yesterday though I would certainly be hoping that McLaughlin stays with us for longer.
