These players have been suggested by him as a result of his scouting activities.
He has obviously been to watch them and has identified them as potential signings. These are then passed to the Board and then to the Manager for his opinion.
AR did not want to add to the squad he had in place and said "no, no no no no no no no no no no no" to every single suggestion until it became clear to the Board that he did not intend to bring anyone in at all, much to their dismay as they, like us, all knew that we needed to strengthen before the deadline day.
The players now being brought in are liked and wanted by Simon Davey

What could be simpler than that?

I will state again, sorry that AR has lost his job, but he wasn't doing the job he was paid to do for BFC and his blinkered loyalty to the players was taking us down.
The Board acted correctly - the members of which are all passionate fans like ourselves, you could hear that just listening to Cryne talking after the sacking.

They have acted and now let's get on with it.
So far the signings are good and Leon Knight can and will be tamed.

    Let's get behind them

Perhaps you should change your tag-line(?) to "4th from the TOP..." ? (nodding2fingers)

I have to agree with everything you said ! (Y)

Seems like Martin's had the shackles taken off

I've been very critical of our scouting in the past, seems like I got something else wrong. having one target in mind and no back up is no transfer strategy, its barmy.

Have we signed Leon Knight then?

I mean, there's a lot of talk, but has it been finalised? I think you're right - he would be a promising signing.

    like your optimism!

.. but we haven't heard the AR side of the story yet... I fully expect him to say that he DID want & DID TRY to sign players. The only thing we've heard is that he is going to speak thru' PFA... which suggests to me he could be putting in for unfair dismissal. I think the whole thing could go on for ages. Still, what's done is done and we have to get on with it. Lets hope the signings bring the start of better times.
I just think there's FAR more to it than meets the eye. I've never been one to slag off players or the Board, but this is the most cynical/ suspicious I have ever been.

Any road, COME ON YOU REDS!!
(U still lapping it up in the luxury of the Exec Box on Sat?!)

    Not officially

but I dont think that they would have let Wright out on loan if a striker weren't coming in.
