    Has anyone else considered the possibility that PH will be approached by other clubs.

    After the turn around and winning the football league trophy he must be catching someones eye.

    Think it would take an eye opening offer both financially and in terms of club size for him to move on just yet. Barnsley man through and through and I believe he's earnest in that.

    Heckys going no where he's already said it.

    The club shouldn't use that against making him an offer he deserves though.

    Hecky won't go heard a quote from him a while ago saying how he would love the job been a local lad. How he's a former season ticket holder as a young en. And how he has turned down other offers from else where to play and coach at Barnsley. One of our own he is going no where

    Id guess if we don't go up the first team will be unrecognisable next season from the one we currently have..

    Sure Hecky will be here though in what may prove to be a rather difficult summer..

    All the loans would be gone I'd expect. Hammill and White may stay. All our other players have at least one year remaining on their contracts I suppose if the right offer came in for them they would be gone but I have faith in the scouting system that has brought in Davies, hourahine, Winnall, roberts ect ect to keep em coming so if we don't go up we could still challenge next year the way we have progressed from the start of season.

    Hammill isn't staying. No chance. Gone.

    Hecky will be here though as he's in his dream job (right now). He turned down a full time role as an U21 coach with a team in the higher leagues to work part time for us with the U15's, waiting for his chance to join the coaching staff.

    You think hammill has already made his mind up he is going end of season no matter what? I don't think it's as easy decision for him as your making out. But maybe Lee Jay has already poached him for Bristol he saved his career at Barnsley after the loosing run.

    I think it's an easy decision to make and one that will have already been made. Unless we get promoted of course. That MIGHT change it.

    I used to let my heart think that he'd take being the adored superstar at Barnsley over a small fish higher up the leagues, but money and safe guarding your family talks. Be funny if he signs for Brizzle, considering it wasn't really Lee Jay who scouted him in the first place ......

    I agree with he will want to safe guard his family I'm not sure moving his family down to bristol. To play for a unproven manager (especially at championship level) by December Lee Jay could be gone and him warming bench with a new man in. Be like wolves all over again. We will see but I don't think it's as stonewall as you think.

    I'll lose a lot of respect for him if he goes there. He would have flourished here under any manager in this league LJ did absolutely nothing for him. Why leave a team where you're loved for one so MARGINALLY higher up that will be in a relegation dogfight again next year anyway. He's better than us in this league but if he's rolling the dice at a bigger club again he certainly wants to be shooting higher than them.

    Like Loko says LJ didn't even scout him. I'd say the persons responsible for bringing him back would be patrick or James cryne who were here in Hammill's 1st spell here. And they were plenty on the bbs calling for us to trial him. I wouldn't lose respect for him really it's his choice I think I'm past that now seeing Brian Howard leave for the blades for peanuts was much more painful and look how that turned out for Brian. I hope he stays and I'd be over moon he is worth the entry fee to watch most games. But if he leaves to play a higher level good luck to him as long as it's not leeds.

    I think its stonewall.

    Three year contract, new found desire and focus, full of confidence, backing your own ability to perform, etc.

    Don't forget the undoubted tripling of wages if he did move on, for a club with a hefty budget.

    Rough with the smooth I suppose but I really think he should think hard about leaving a club where he can really become a legend and should aim higher than Bristol.

    On the subject of Howard to Sheff U I know he was in no way as important of a player for us but I loved Bogdanovic for us and was extremely miffed by his comments and move to Sheff U but it was completely worth it to watch him walk past us to chants of DANIEL LEAGUE ONE OVIC

    Yes I was gutted too when bogdanovic went too. With Howard I was convinced he would go to Sheff United and push on and be a key player for them and he flopped really probley regretted leaving us in the end. Funny old game football
