Brentford can turn down a £62.5m bid...

Can you imagine saying that only 17 years ago when they finished 14th in the bottom division in front of an average of 4,400.

I'm not sure they can really afford to - aren't they losing millions?

It's worrying with small clubs like Brentford being spoken about with such big transfer fees because if they were to fall out of the top division, the Sky money goes and then they've to rely on the basics income wise - attendances etc.. they haven't got any. You only have to look at Bolton and Portsmouth who were playing European football not so long since to see how it can go wrong.

And the fairytale of Bournemouth getting promoted to the Premier League the first time and posting losses of a mere £38m.

Sure I read recently that Benham was looking to get more investment on board at Brentford so they can compete more with the bigger clubs on fees and wages.

Franks gone to Spurs, so that will save them in chewing gum at least, but appointing Andrews is a bold move, could go either way that one.
