I don't think there was any lack of effort or desire today, our lads just looked f.cked. And considering we were playing 2 days after a game where every one put a shift in then I'm not surprised.

Donny made 6 changes and it showed. They looked sharper than us and won most 50/50s. It'll happen when you have a squad as thin as ours. We can't afford to drop below a certain level and we did today and we lost.

Davies wasn't great, didn't stick when we did play it up top but he had very few options when it did. The amount of times a player of ours had to stop and pass backwards cos he had noowhere to go was disappointing.

    Positives:
Best game I've seen McEveley have for us
Lazarus looked sharp - probably part of the reason Haynes can go.
Bobby had a cracker of a game.

Lost to the better side today. No disgrace. We go next week. 21 games to get 17 points. We still shouldn't be getting past that target.

Sport on Dyson. Agree completely. Unfortunate that Sharp was stronger than McNulty for their first goal. When they got in front we were fighting an uphill battle. If it had stayed at 0-0 I think we may have nicked it....

Just a sloppy goal, still thought we'd win/at least score and noone can accuse Hill of not going for it when he ended up playing 4-2-4.

tired? ....do me a favour...they are professional footballers who do sod all else all week but play football....they should be able to play 3 or 4 times a week for 1 and a half hours.... for gods sake...it's not like they have to go to work and then play.

this tiredness is just a lame excuse... pathetic in fact.

I'm with thereev on this one. I appreciate we are low on numbers, but it shouldn't affect how they play, they have the best job in the world and excuses are flying about about being tired! Load of rubbish...Donny played new years eve aswell.

It's not an excuse, it's a fact. They were fresher than us because they made 6 changes. That we couldn't make. FACT FACTY FACT FACT.

What a ridiculous statement. Paula Radcliffe is a professional athlete and therefore she should be able to run 2 marathons in 3 days (and win them both). I mean, she ought to buck her ideas up and realise that the rest of us have to go to work everyday in a REAL JOB.

Like everybody else, footballers experience fatigue - especially when training 5 times a week and playing 1 or 2 competitive matches each week. If they were playing against a Sunday league team "tiredness" wouldn't be a problem, but they're playing other professional footballers!

When you play at that level, if you aren't 100% ready to play you will stand out like a sore thumb. Donny made 6 changes so unsurprisingly they were sharper than us!

I thoughyt McEveley was ***** and McNulty as soft as a freshly laid turd.

Vaz Te not interested, Wiseman hiding. Addison ok, Done finally substituted as he is awful, Davies a touch like a babby elephant.

Hope we can find a spare few quid to bring four or five faces in as liek you say, Donny made six changes. We don't have that luxury.

You are right about the lasck of movement. Dare I say we missed Butterfield's vision?

    sticks and stones young fellow......

as for living off the state....i wish....i unfortunately have to work to keep the bin lids fed etc etc.

i am a company director of an up and coming business venture and my intention is to make billions and buy oakwell. This would however include shutting down this forum due to the high level of bull posted. this it would seem would deny a lot of posters the will to live as this forum appears to be their sole reason to exist.

    hope this helps

Don't think McNulty did anything wrong. He tries to play it out from the back a little too often but it's exactly the type of stuff Ar Keef preaches. Plus I reckon he's gonna be a reight laiker.

This is what winds me up, Done's not awful at all - had one bad game yesterday. Heard sumdi saying that Keef must wanna relegate us signing him. And I don't think Wiseman was hiding, he was shifted position abart 4 times in game and just didn't look comfortable. Davies had a similar touch to what he's had most games, but noone anywhere near him to lay it off to.

And we were always gonna miss Butterfield. Amazing how we didn't keep the ball nearly as well without him in the side. But ar ladies and gents, he's w@nk.

I just don't see what Done brings. He runs about a lot but never looks like doing owt.

McNulty gives teh ball away cheaply. One minute he looks first class the next far from it. But soft as ***** against Billy Blunt.

Work In Progress Like Keef sez.

I looked good in my coat anyway.

Sometimes it's not going to work out. Fowk need to realise it.

Davies & Vaz Te have scored 20 goals or so between 'em and cost us nowt and fowk were giving 'em both agro yesterday. Agreed, neither of 'em were great but a bit of realism. If we could laik like we did against Leeds every week we'd be top 1. But with the players we've got we're always going to be inconsistent.

Questioning attitude/workrate/desire is just bang out of order in my opinion.

Did you match it with a Timberland Gillet though?

No Timberland for me, Barbour all teh way, just like our Keef.

I'd like to know if Vaz Te has turned a new deal down or not. Keef won't be impressed IMHO with him yesterday.

We won't be great every week. We don't have a big enough squad. i'm not questioning teh work rate really, just too many players not "at it" yesterday for whatever reason. The only attitude I would question woudl be Vaz Te's. Didn't look arsed if you ask me.

Just the way he comes across I reckon. Apparently he's not been offered a new deal (Mark Stokes on Twitter).
