But we will never get out of this hole we are in while ever we concede 2 goals EVERY game, without fail. We start every game knowing we need to score 3 to win.

And that with 5-10 minutes left still doesn't guarantee us a win lol

I was going to post something similar. You can't pile pressure on forwards to score and expect 2 or 3 goals from them every game just to stand a chance of even a draw. Any good side starts with a watertight defence. We ship goals like the Titanic shipped water and the end result is likely to be the same. Johnson MUST strengthen the defence and get a couple of old heads in to marshall the defence. I have only been to one game when I came over and saw Nyatanga at fault for two goals. I have no idea how good a player he is in other positions but, from where I was sat he was (is?) a liability as a defender.

Nyatanga had a very good season last year alongside experienced defenders like Cranie and Ramage. When he's the main man and has to organise things he's a liability. We did bring in a centre half. Unfortunately he got himself sent off and he's suspended.

Unfortunately it wasn't his lack of organisational skills (I was at the Walsall match on a cold Tuesday night in October. He got done twice and had the mobility of an oil tanker and was, just like one, 'all at sea' gave the attacker far too much room to get the shot in and for the 2nd got turned ridiculously easily for a pro footballer. The attacker got 2 yards on him before he knew what had happened. His head went down after the 2nd went in.
At half time, whilst not brilliant I said to my mate that I thought talk of Johnson Out was a bit unfair as I could see some talent and ability in the side and at 0-0 it had not been too bad. Unfortunately, the 2nd half was abysmal with no organisation or system in evidence. At one point I swear all but the two goalkeepers were in the centre circle. It was like a 'still life' portrait as if the rule from the Barnsley dugout was "You only move if you have the ball and then first opportunity, pass it sideways and preferably to someone wearing a red shirt. In fairness the addition of Hammill and the resurgence of Hourihane seems to be changing those shortcomings but the DEFENCE!!!???
