But we deserved more and in context I bet two or three of their players earn more than our entire squad.
We didn't deserve more. It's same old second half of the season. I know a number of STHs who missed the Derby County game and also tonight, and I don't blame them. I'd not want to be a pay on the day customer the way we've played recently. I really fear for us next season without Vaz, Drinkie and maybe Buttercup. It was Hill signings in Mcnulty and Smith who were to blame for our first two goals conceeded. We have stagnated as a club and going nowhere fast. We have a silent owner, no cash and seemingly our ambition is just to stay up season on season. It's no wonder we didn't even get 9k home fans tonight against probably the best team in the league.
What do you want? You've got all the questions but no answers. Brum will have had players say about two or three that earn what our entire squad does. We more than matched them for effort but could not for quality. Our quality was scoring for West Ham, dreaming of a move to the prem or counting his pay packet. Keef knows we need that spark again and he will do all he can to find it. But on our gates..... What more can we do than stop up? The game has changed. Harsh on Smith BTW, he made a tackle and the ball broke for their lad to score when next time he will sky it or it won't break for him. They missed Derby? More fool them? I don't think you can put tonight down to second half of the season syndrome at all. They had more quality simple as that. Our players grafted but it wasn't enough. Fans come to watch a winning side regardless of cost and we don't have that consistency. Yet.
What a dick you are. Not only for talking utter, utter cu ntish bull ****, but for calling Drinkwater 'Drinkie'
I'm not on about just Brum. We've had all too rare good wins for months now. We've lost to teams like Donny and Watford, it's not just a Birmingham thing. Can you blame the gates? We aren't showing ambition. When we get Rowing on the radio due to Cryne never wanting to talk he mentions how nobody has tried to buy us, when we'd want to hear more positivity like "we've been pro active in looking for new investment, but sadly nothing has come of it". We get stories coming from the board room like last year saying two parties were interested in buying us and then it was yet another thing coming from the club we heard nothing else on. We never will have consistancy because soon as we get it our better players will be sold on the cheap as happens time and time again.
What "ambition" would you like us to show? On less than 9k home fans? Investment is not the golden answer. Last two games sort of proves that. We need to be a solid well run club that knows what it is doing and has a plan. Then sell at the right time to sustain that plan and keep at the right time to achieve it. BTW, PC has more on his mind than pacifying you, he is facing jail and he's not well.
It's you Sir that's the dick, not me I come on giving an opinion, which at least Redstar gave a proper reply to, to keep the conversation going. All you did was start attacking my difference of opinion showing yourself to be very immature.
Disappointed for everyone having to sell players is a setback for the club Be honest how many tarn players represent true championship quality now. Perhaps Steele O'Brien Butterfield and Perkins when fit. East Stand did give encouragement tonight as well as Ponty. No heads dropped even in last 10 minutes. Hillcroft targeting Saturday as a key game win and safety is almost guaranteed. Every £ is a prisoner just now and Lower Mid table safety will do for now.
Re: Disappointed for everyone having to sell players is a setback for the club You were doing so well , then you said Perkins was Champiuonship quality!!!
Re: Disappointed for everyone having to sell players is a setback for the club I think in some games he has shown he can cut it in the championship. I think it depends upon who he is paired with.
Re: Disappointed for everyone having to sell players is a setback for the club Have you said anything positive since KH came to the club? I honestly used to think you contributed fairly - but it's clear you've lost it with regards to anything to do with BFC now. Perkins is a decent player, and definitely championship quality. Just because KH signed him it doesn't make him *****. Or is it his accent?
Re: Disappointed for everyone having to sell players is a setback for the club Attitude was spot on for me.
Re: Disappointed for everyone having to sell players is a setback for the club Never heard him speak, but he certainly ain`t a such a fantastic footballer, yes hge can run around a lot, but he does nothing well. You knbow that post when I said I disliked Hills accent? It has been picked up on loads of times and every time its the bit about his accent that gets mentioned, not all the other bits about how well I thouight he was doing and how well i thought we were playing, No every time it is the bit where I said his accent gets on my nerves, well it does.
