we need a centre half with pace

until we do, we are going to get turned round ,every game ,teams exploiting us playing balls over the top,cant remember last centre half we had with genuine pace, look at Chelsea terry now been found out big time, we will keep giving away corner after corner as our full backs/wing backs try and cover the centre backs ,lack of pace, also doesn't help that bree is a plodder too(was beaten with ease by winger at Peterborough,playing ball past him and running), plus George smith is always drawn into the centre as our centre backs are not getting back in time,

crainie (no pace), ramage (no pace), big jean (pace but no skill), all gone but played in teams that struggled nyatanga(no pace), mawson (slow as a boat).think Roberts can shift but not sure he as the league nouse to play a tight back four or five or whatever L J is tinkering with


just read it back and if anyone as read it and is still awake, hope you agree that a centre back who can shift is a must in January;

 

I'd prefer a centre half that can win headers to be honest

 

I would prefer a centre half who will get back as soon as possible when he has gone up for corners. Took particular note of him and he never got back. He just dawdled up field whilst his fellow defenders were left short. How many times did Sharp etc be left on their own clear on goal. Embarrassing.
