nope but i just hope one of these rumoured new signings is a genuine left back and not a make do and mend player.

 

I dont agree mate. whoever we play, he is miles behind the oppositions players going foward.
And i dont know about you lot, but the goals we concede mostly seem to come from heckingbottoms side?? anyone else noticed?

to be honest, the last game eckersley played for us when he got injured, i think he had a decent game and wouldnt be bad if he didnt get injured?

 

Agree, but the rest of the back four wern't much better last season besides the odd good spells from Reid and Kay. How Hassell was in running for player of year, im not sure. Just my opinion!

 

aye i agree with you! i think we will get nyatanga back on season long loan aswell, because he wasnt in the derby side through the playoffs... obviously showing us there that he isnt that good for them... + they are looking to sign davies from sheff utd, and probably more... so doubt he will get in there side!

hecky doesnt do a good job and howard is always having to help him out so i dunno what u r sayin madmark62

 

Hecky is OK

Just not good enough for first choice in this league. Too slow and gets caught out of position too often.

Worth keeping as cover though.

 

Need TWO New Left Backs

Eckersley went back to Man Utd and we are going to lose Robbie Williams to Blackpool. Add to that Hecky not up to the task and some could argue we need three new left backs. But we need two that's for sure. We even use to have Austin play there sometimes and he's gone so at left back there is a shortage.

and as previsouly stated..... in front of him...

can't knock his effort, but having an unbiased opinion, there are times when he has struggled and times where he has looked pretty decent...

it all depnds on who is tearing down the right hand side and who he has in front of him as support....

I believe he can still do something for us, but not as a permanant 1st team selection at left back
