Great start yesterday, and we nullified/surprised Fulham. We played at an intense level for much of the game with very late substitutions. The more games we play, the more other teams will be aware and adapt their game accordingly though. When that does happen, we need to have a plan b and c. There were a few games last season where the opposite team did this to us, and we struggled. However some of these games we had the extra quality at times to overcome it. This year will be different. So for me, it’s vital we pick up as many points as possible (obviously) early on. Then when the pressure is on, at least they’ll have had the game time and understanding they need to help adapt further.
I agree to a large extent with what you’re saying. However, I also think we now have a more fluid attacking unit that will create chances even when teams are prepared for it. There’s only so much preparation can do against raw pace coming from multiple angles. Also, we will be doing the majority of defending anyway so we will have less parked busses to move when on counter attack
I fully expect us to get a lot of points in the board early on. & later on.. Shed loads int middle n'all..
