Today was all through the middle yet again with only the full backs pressing forward in the wide positions. It was like watching two teams playing on a Sunday morning. The score could have been 8 a piece. We were very poor today and so were our opponents. How Mellis got MOM is upon me. Wiseman and Cranie would have been better shouts. What we need is two players out wide with natural ability (ie a right footed out n out winger on the right and a left footed out n out winger on the left). Gone are the days under Robins when we had that in Adam Hammill. Not since then have we played in a style where we use the whole pitch. We are too negative going forward as nobody wants to have a shot within 20 yards. There were times today when players could have hit in and at least made the goalie work but yet again insisted on trying for that world cup killer ball that never came off. Only maybe Cywka would have a go in this team. There are some big changes that need to be made in my eyes as drawing at home against one of the weakest (if not the weakest) teams in the league will get you relegated. I'm not normally negative but today took the biscuit for me. Was really optimistic prior to the game after our two good away performances and was saying to a few mates that should Mellon get a win today along with a good performance then maybe he should get the job. Today has completely changed my mind. We were so woeful that we should count our lucky chickens that we only played Yeovil today cos a better team higher up the league would have gave us a right battering today. Very poor defensively and no cutting edge yet again going forward. Time for a change and a clean sweep i'm afraid.
