Before the end of the month, theres just no one player on the books that will score enough goals this season.

Defender more like................

At this rate we would need a striker who could score 3 goals every single game!

Defence is very poor. Maybe it is down to payers out of position but it needs to be sorted

Even if we had signed Kevin Phillips it wouldnt help much

If we keep giving 2 goals away per game we wont get many points

The defence needs sorting out sharpish - to my mind that is a bigger problem

Goals take the pressure off the defence.

No idea. Definitely not at work, though. Honest.

Oh, it would.

We'd score, we'd have someone as a proper outlet, we'd have a cool head who's been there and done it, and Davey would play him on the wing or something.

I have to disagree on this one, and your entitled to your opinion.

Just think the defence is the priority at the moment. It is ok saying goals ease pressure but with the lack of pace at the back I think the majority of strike forces will just ease past us. I do believe we have goals in Macken and Hume.

No.... hold on a minute..... let's just think about it....

apart from his goal how many times did we hear Philips name mentioned? Not very often.
He's a top striker who thrives on his own ability and GOOD SUPPLY from his teammates. Think about it, how many goalscoring chances have we had this season? Not many, in fact hardly any.
A big top striker ain't gonna do the biz if his teammates aren't providing, so even the likes of Philips wouldn't be banging in the goals for US when the rest of our team isn't doing the business.
We have the strikers, we don't have a solid midfield, and we certainly don't have a solid defence.

doesnt matter what striker we sign as soon as they come to barnsley they turn rubbish we dont create that many clear cut chances as it is. we definately need to stop conceeding as many goals

I think the whole team would have a different attitude if they were confident we were going to convert goals.

But we are getting into good positions you need someone making runs and getting onto the end of things.

we need the players to pass the ball into the box instead of howard and leon etc taking shots from 18 and 20 yards

We have the players that make the runs, but if our midfielders are so good why does Maken have to come deep for it? Why was Hume going wide for the ball Vs Crewe and Coventry?

Re: We need Muller and De Silva back.........

Steele is showing why he was Baggies 3rd choice

We all know De Silva will steady the midfield

We've got 5, all signed by Davey

If you were Chairman of BFC would you let him spend big money on another?

The defence are under pressure ...

... because they know we aren't gonna score at the other end.

Yes we do need De Silva back but its going to take him a while to get back into form, might be too late.

I did worry pre season about about us but i was hoping it was me just being pessimistic - but im hoping we will get the right result starting next week!
