Ok so we have no God given right, but we do so need to win. After tonight we have some very tough matces coming up!
You posted previously that you’d be happy with a win tonight and a draw at Stevenage. If we are to get 4 points from these next 2 games I’d say a draw tonight and win at Stevenage would be better. Of course winning them both would be great, but this is football.
You’re right. We’re gonna drop points over the next month. Need to make sure we’re beating the teams we have a better chance of doing, Carlisle being one of them. Can see us getting only four points from the following four games.
Stevenage,Oxford,Exeter and Bolton all coming up. That will really tell us a story after those games.
No excuses tonight. Commanding performance, big win required. Make a statement and close that gap on the top 2…..
I honestly think we are a better side away from home. Peterborough away first 45 absolutely outstanding. Honestly think if we could find some form at home , automatic is well withing our reach. Which is better than I anticipated at the start of the season.
We could make the automatic promotion, but it would take supreme effort from the team. If we take on a couple if good signings that might swing it. But in reality my heart is saying we will be going down the play off road again.
As you obviously must realise, it's impossible to know how many points we will take from our next 4 games. We drew, and deserved to win, at Peterborough, statistically one of the toughest places to visit. Anything can obviously happen in any game, though I do certainly think that anything other than a win tonight would suggest that it's unlikely we will be serious contenders for a top two spot. Our home record is that of a mid-table team and needs major improvement for us to make a genuine challenge for automatic promotion.
Isn't that blatantly obvious though lol, surely (if it were possible) we should be wanting to win every single game!. As for Derby last night, I had an idea that Burton might surprise them, which they have done before.
