The club have asked for our assistance as fans to get the message out and try and persuade as many people to come along to the Bolton home game as possible and show support for the team for the final push to the play-off final. Let's pack Oakwell and support the team from minute 1 (irrespective of whatever happens in the first leg). If you have mates planning to watch on Sky, persuade them to come along. Speak to your friend who comes along once in a blue moon. Drag them to Oakwell! Let's see if we do our bit to get Oakwell packed for the last and most important home game of this fantastic season. The club have produced printed posters that are available to take from the main reception at Oakwell. We want to get them up in pubs, clubs, workplaces, gyms, schools etc. Anywhere that Barnsley fans (past or present) might see them. There's also an electronic version for those that have printing facilities (click the onedrive link right at the bottom for the highest resolution version below). If there are other things you think we as a fan base can be doing to get Oakwell packed, please post below. Thanks for reading BFC poster v1.png
Sales are obviously not what the club were hoping for. Imagine a few will be waiting to see how the first leg goes.....
This is just it isn’t it, if we were at home first leg it’d already be sold out. if we’re 3-0 down after the 1st leg it’ll be difficult to sell out.
Particularly with it being a Friday night as well. Have to confess, I'm holding out to see what the result of the first leg is. It's around 1 and 3/4 hour drive each way from where I live, which given how little I like driving and the fact we've got plans for the morning after, I'm not keen to commit to it unless I know it's still a contest.
looking just now and the unreserved seats in the ponty have already sold, there’s only a few hundred if that in the east stand, obviously they’ll be more available tomorrow if anyone hasn’t reserved their season ticket seat but I can’t see it being many, it’ll be a decent crowd whatever the Saturday result More to the point, a packed Oakwell makes a huge difference, so what if we lose 3-0 in the first leg, we’ve overcome first leg losses before and already scored 4 against top sides at home this season on multiple occasions, if Oakwell is packed I honestly wouldn’t rule us out regardless of the first leg,. Get behind them if you can
Any news on North stand given Bolton have announced a full 2133 allocation? Or are they doing what some appear to be and waiting see how first leg pans out ?
I thought this at first but perhaps not on reflection…. I’m sure @YTBFC would correct me if I am wrong but I would imagine the club is using the success of derby and Swfc as a blueprint and trying to replicate. The club did really well to pump the games up and it had an impact on the play offs. Why wouldn’t you try and do that again?
Gally, I don't want to appear picky cos it's a really great poster but it doesn't actually say what it is about. It means something to those who already know what it is about but not to those who don't, the people we are trying to encourage along. It's a picture of some football players, that's all. I think the club badges could have been made bigger with actual names along side. A bigger impact? Sorry for being fussy.
I would have been tempted down but I'm in Amsterdam for the weekend. I'm sure we'll get a large crowd and it would be good if the club could incentivise everyone to come a little earlier (e.g. half price drinks?) and get the atmosphere pumping.
Am I right I’m thinking this could possibly go to extra time & even p…? Sorry, I can’t bring myself to say that word..
