they beat us fair and square ....get over it by your argument just HOW do you feel Liverpool AND Chelski feel about US in the semi's...... did you consider that .. ....... no Thowt not............chuff and by the way its.."THEY'RE ****"
RE: they beat us fair and square ....get over it feckin hammered em. tossers, over rated plonkers in there team got feckin jammy
absolutely agree but we spurned ALL our chances..they took the one they had..thats why we never looked like being in the promotion race too..... ZERO STRIKERS
I think you'll find if you watch the highlights we WERE the better side. KO missed the chance of the game They cleared at least one off the line We should have had a penalty Watter under the bridge mind.
RE: I think you'll find Whoa, easy there tiger! Obviously, whichever team you support, you're going to see it that way. From my point I'd disagree that you were the better side. We scored early and I thought we controlled the game fabulously. Yes, you had plenty of possession (in the 1st half anyway) but did nothing with it - or were allowed to do nothing with it actually. 2nd half, other than THAT miss, we had all the play. So much so that the City fans were celebrating with 15 mins to go. KO's chance signalled the end of you I'm afraid. A shocker that'll haunt him forever. Can't remember one being cleared off the line but I can remember your center half narrowly missing with a back post header at our end (which he should have scored imo) No way was that a penalty btw, never in a million years. Steel saved what should haev been another from Sinclair, JFH should have scored, Ledley could have had another and Gavin Rae missed a sitter of a header. What's gone is gone I'm afraid.
Up the Pompey! Just for the way some of your fans behaviour that day im afraid. With regards to the game other than that chance we never really worried Cardiff.
Totally agree Don't get this 'we were the better team'. From where I was sat, we massively underperformed. KO's miss knocked the stuffing out of us, but we didn't look like scoring otherwise. We never made life hard for them, never looked anything like what are capable of
RE: I think you'll find I thought we just gave away possession too easily in midfield, plenty of unforced errors. And after Odejaye's miss the players heads dropped.
RE: Totally agree That's what was gutting - we never got about them as per Chelsea. Admittedly we had fck all attacking options, but we huffed and puffed and created the one golden opportunity of the game and spunked it. After that it was just counting the clock down.
RE: I think you'll find Absolutely agree with that. After that miss, there was only one winner. As you said, your players heads dropped while ours started to believe. We'd gone into that game with 7 clean sheets in 10 games and our defence was full of confidence. The early goal certainly calmed our nerves although we didn't put on a performance either. Then again, how many good games do you get at that and the next stage of the competition.
RE: Totally agree Pompey fans played up far more than Cardiff fans according to the coppers I was speaking to before / after the game. Allot of pubs in London refused entry to fans on the Sunday because of Saturday events. Not saying Cardiff didn't play up, I saw some bother, but sounds up it all four clubs had issues with fans behaviour. We missed our chance, Cardiff won fair and square. Like a few folk though, doubt I will bother watching it despite it not including any of the top four teams.
Me neither In Norway this week and decided to stay the weekend and have a look round Oslo - only after I'd made arrangements did I remember it was cup final weekend - as the Mrs is joining me I think I'll give it a miss this time. Not a mistake I would have made had we been in it though Cardiff beat us fair and square - cant blame the ref, bad luck or owt - we didnt perform as well as we can, they did enough to beat us on the day. What would have happened had Odejayi scored we will never know - unfortunately we never found out. Dont really care who wins the final to be honest - just wish West Brom had beaten Pompey
No Probs mate You always get a few who want to spoil things - especially when there's a 33,000 following. I've heard stories of yours as well btw. Sad fact of life I'm afraid. TBH, I would have thought that most of Barnsley would want Pompey to win on Saturday, it's only natural. But I would also say it's not all judging by the amount of times I've had to clear my inbox from well-wishers on here - you know who you are ....and Thanks!
