Yeah we've got two good strikers in Odejayi and Ferenczi but they arnt very deadly in the area. Could do with a bit of championship experience up there. Feel free to abuse..
On the contrary I quite agree. I felt sorry for Mostto today. Had one of those days where nothing would go right for him. We've been trying to warm him up to the style of the English game in the reserves, to protect him from the sort of day he had today. If he'd started, he'd have been subbed on the hour mark. Because he didn't come on until 15 minutes in, Davey didn't want to sub a sub for the risk to his confidence. I can't help but look at Mostto and Christensen and think that the 900k we reputedly spent on them would have been better spent on a single player with experience in English football, who could go straight into the team. We have a strong squad with lots of options and lots of good players who can't get in the team. This is a good position to be in. However, it reminds me of the promotion season before we signed Hendrie, who was that final link that made the difference between a good team and a great one. I just hope if the goals, and therefore the points start to dry up, we haven't already blown the budget.
they will kick in soon, as confidence builds more and more , so they will begin I am more than happy with the way we are shaping up.As we get better and better(and we are doing) so will they.Teams will begin to respect us more and so we will get more space , I think already that we have no fear of looking down only UP
RE: We spent money on Christensen? He wont last a full match, he is not strong enough and is not fit enough. Waste of £300k. Just my opinon that is, not a fact or owt.
A striker is needed still. One who is proven at this level and who will get goals. Cant see any of our strikers getting double figures. Add a goalscorer to our team and we have a very good Championship side.
