So a former employee with no current connection to the club can sit in seats that Season ticket holders for over 2 decades are banned from So I’m sitting in the cold getting soaked with an inferior view but he gets a seat denied to a long standing supporter who is probably in the same position as me. That’s not from my seat built it’s fairly close and there were people in mine and Dads seats again today. As for every other game I’ve been to
That must be particularly galling. I really do feel for you and your Dad (and all those in the same position). It's one thing getting cold and wet when you've elected to sit in the open, but when you've paid good money to be a bit warmer and drier, it stinks.
How about a group action from BBS'ers. Send an email to the club requesting an update on the West Stand, how many West Standers have opted for a refund and on the £750k. And do so weekly until we get one?
I have 2 season tickets for the West Stand, sat just behind the directors box. Since they closed the stand down for fans I've not been to one match. I didn't like any of the seats that were avaliable in the east stand. Must say that I was very late in my inquiry for moving over my season tickets, work commitments. So at this moment in time I've still got my 2 ST for the uper west stand and the way we're playing it'll stay that way. I know there's the option for a refund but just cant be arsed.
Pleased for those who were displaced that they can return. A.bit of compensation wouldn`t go amiss for all the upheaval they have had to endure. Free cup tickets for one, before they return to their rightful place.
The excuse given at the Fan engagement. For allowing directors and reporters mainly into the west stand was the efl wouldn’t allow the temporary arrangements they’d laid on to go in the east stand, due to protocols. On facilities that have to be provided. Especially in the case of visiting directors etc and reporters. But they initially were moving over there. The middle section isn’t in need for emergency repairs as the wing section was. Games could not go ahead without those proper provisions in place. And the first game it happened was in serious doubt as the efl wouldn’t allow it to go ahead. Don’t shoot the messenger. Just telling it as I/we were told. Anyone else there please feel free to correct me if I misunderstood.
I sort of understand that, but then why were ALL of the West Stand ST holders moved and not just the ones on the side ?
Great point Purely a guess. It wasn't in the Clubs best interests financially given the low number of fans in the open section. I don't think we've ever seen the split. Would be interesting to know how many west stand lower season ticket holders there were.
