We were a joy to watch today..

Just thought - as someone who saw the game - that it needed putting out there.

I'm really proud of that today, it was what I want from a reds side. Comfortably the better, more threatening side and but for some ***** refereeing and better defending (still an issue) we'd have eased to a win in 90 minutes. But it was beautiful to see them win on pens, again. Good old Davo and Perks...

I'll expand on stuff in Not a podcast either tomorrow or Monday.

Chance to go to Wembley. Summat exciting in a ***** season. Yet the whingers (we know who they are) still can't find owt to praise. Which tells you all you need to know. Good luck to em. But some of us call a spade a spade, no agendas. If we were ****, you know I'd call it ****. But it wasn't. It was brilliant, a joy to watch.

Take Hammill away though and I fear it'd be less impressive.... get it sorted, Patrick/Ben/whoever.

Yes really enjoyed how we played today, set up 4-4-2. We could have defended the goals a bit better. Agree re Hammill need to get him on a longer contract or someone will reap his return to football.

Agree with all that Andy. Our defence is a right mess and the ref was hopeless (very unusual for me to criticise a referee).

I also should add that Wigan were horrific, absolutely shocking.

Hammill is the best player I've seen in this league this season. A joy to watch.

    You Reds.

I spoke to Hammill's missus today, she says they both love Barnsley and will be here at the end of the season

They weren't good. But to be honest, I haven't seen many good sides in this division.

Get that defence sorted, and we'll be top half by May, summat to build on next season.

See that's the way to do it, match by match if it's good say so if it's ***** likewise, worry about next week when it comes rather than be pessimistic but equally none of the I'm a proper fan me ****.
It's just a shame it's taken so long to drop the weird and wonderful tactics wise. The only doubt I have with this competition is you are never sure quite how seriously the other lot are taking it, so am hopeful but not exactly overly when it comes to the bread and butter stuff next week

Not sure how serious Wigan were taking it, but they had a strong side out and looked as average as the other sides I've seen this season. We happened to look a lot better than we have done for most of the season. It's that simple. Play like today and we'll win more than we lose. But it wasn't just the performance, it was the spirit. They looked together, played for the shirt.

We were the best team by a country mile today, they had 2 or 3 chances to score, scored 2 but we could have had a hatful with a little bit more luck, Adam played out of his skin, you expect something positive to happen every time he gets the ball, I thought Pearson had a superb game today...he always gets stick on here doesn't he.....to be fair they all played well, course there are mistakes, I think some on here think we still have Prem league quality players at times, they are a decent set of 3rd Division lakers not world beaters.......and did the fans proud today...

Agreed thought we played well all in, Watkins had some half decent chances think whoever posted that Wigan were shocking is being harsh. They looked decent on the ball but we didn't allow them to do too much. Hammill is a different class to anything else in this division. Ref was poor and made some strange decisions. Never in doubt once it went to penalties, they all looked completely unfazed. Not sure what went on after Winnall put his away but it was handbags for a few moments.

We deserved to win but Hammill made the difference, we had next to nothing without him, just hope we can hang on to him as he's certainly a Championship player, god knows why he's not done much in anything other than a Reds shirt.

That's why we are bottom of the league, cos we are world beaters. FFS some people on here need to take their blinkers off on here due to us winning one game ON PENALTIES, get real ...

Great result today. Patrick needs to tie Adam down to a proper long term deal. I really beleive this is his club.

but lets be serious eh (and i can be when i want to!!), im glad to hear we had a go today and it wasnt one of those hang on and ride our luck type games. but the big question is why cant we do this and turn it into wins when it matters... in the league!!
