Beating Swansea in the League Cup (over two ties) when they were top of the First Division (or thereabouts), knocking out of the League Cup the previous season's runners-up in the FA Cup, and also drawing at the home of the European Champions. That was in the space of about 4 months in 1981

 

We didn't beat Man Utd the year they won Champions League, as we beat them in the FA Cup, they won the treble the year they won the Champions League.
