after sats bad result (couldnt make game but heard it was a shocker) i do think we win win tonight n win by a couple of goals. feel though davey needs to stop playing long high balls to mifsud, been watching muller and all hes been doing is kicking high ball to the wrong players all time (ie jcr n mifsud) need to start counter attacking long throw to full back pass it to jcr who can either take it down wing n get a cross in or through ball and tonight need to get a palace straight from start try and get an early lead n keep at them dont stand off n let them attack.
I sometimes think Muller just isn't given an option. Watch other teams' full-backs or centre-halves looking for the ball from their keeper and compare to our back line - backs turned on Muller & lumbering back up field. What else does he do?
ur rite but he needs to start bollicking them if there doing this or davey need to start doing what hes meant to be doing and start looking at set peices n spending more time on the training ground going through all this
Re: we will draw tonight I Cant see us winning tonight if Davey continues with his negative tactics at home but i hope i am wrong. It will be 0-0. Warnock will have Palace well organised and hard to beat and i just dont think we will score!
hope not like ive said n just what uve put we cant start with negative tactics we need to get straight in there faces attack from the start n unsettle them n try and get an early goal n if we do dont sit back keep at them
Yeah, its' the long ball tactics that are annoying! Palace have some big lads at the back and we will playing to there strenghts just lumping it to Mifsud. If we get it down and play at a high tempo as you have said hopefully we can get the win. Davey does seem to have a habit of getting a win when the pressure is really starting to mount on him.
Actually Mickey when Hassell plays full back hes often shouting/waving at Muller for an early ball but Muller seems blinkered. When Muller first arrived the throw out seemed to be his preferred option but he seems to have had it drummed into him to kick it long to the big lads (JCR & Miffy).
I think that Davey is a lucky bugger. We'll win tonight, and stay up....Just. He'll then be given a truck load of money to spend in the summer, and rinse and repeat for next season. Whenever SimpleSimon is under pressure, he somehow pulls a result out of the bag.
