Weakened teans

I'm sick of reading comments regarding Liverpool playing a weekend team.All season Benitez has "tinkered"with his starting 11 much to the dismay of some of their fans,He has rested Torres and Gerrard before Champions League matches before so no surprise on saturday.If any body was understrength it was us losing the keeper and 2 cup tied players.

Reina (in for Itandje)
Finnan
Hyppia
Carragher
Aurelio (in for Riise)
Lucas
Babel
Gerrard (in for Benayoun)
Mascherano (in for Alonso)
Kuyt
Torres (in for Crouch)

OK, Gerrard, Mascherano and Torres are world class players and would undoubtedly make an impact, but Crouch, Benayoun and Alonso are more than able replacements). Riise has been first choice for years, so the biggest difference is the clown in goal. With this being the only competition they have left, he's changed less than half the side, and he's certainly changed more than that before.

The way Liverpool fans go on you'd think he'd played the U-18's against us.

PS. Bloody good point about Nyatanga, Macken and Muller missing for us!

My kids at school talk about it not being their best team but look at the cost of the players </p>

What was Crouch 8 million? Babbel + Kuyt &pound;11 million each - that's&pound;30 million on three players alon -Wish we could put that kind of a weakend team out! </p>
