We did well against Birmingham tbh. Just a combination of not taking chances and them doing so ably assisted by a dodgy ref.
Russell cost us at least a point there. Needed to be stronger after our goal. It was a shame because he was immense in that game and this season on the whole. Always liked him. Like players who make it look easy and have time.
yep once he lost that ball between his legs he needed to rectify his error and take out the man if he couldn’t win the ball.
I suspect the metal advertising boards that are really close to the pitch on the east stand side will be back against the original stand wall tomorrow like the Birmingham game due to the wind. I have no idea why they aren't permanently there because the original wall has no advertisements on them, so nothing would be blocked.
He booked us for things that he let them off with - it was fab and totally got why our players got so frustrated with him. To be fair I think there is an invisible wall on whichever goal we are attacking at the time
Pretty much same weather forecast as the Birmingham game, but having been out in it, it feels much more windy. The rain isn't helping either.
Really rattling everything at the moment. I can only recall one game called off for windy conditions at Oakwell, and that was some time in the 70’s I think. Wouldn’t be surprised if today’s went the same way.
I’m happy that you think I’m talking daft because I’m just about to set off. But I’ve had to rescue a metal garden chair that has been blown about 20 yards and buried itself in the fence. I live in Dodworth so hopefully it might be a bit better in town.
Walked the dog earlier and went up the muckstack at the back of the ground. Obviously strong wind that at the time seemed to me would be blowing diagonally from the corner of the Ponty end and West Stand to the opposite end. Let’s hope we can adapt to the conditions better than them. Unfortunately not going again as I can’t shake this bug/ virus thingy off and still feeling crap.
