All this talk of Tarn1 has just give me an idea. Why dont we set up a new website. write out own articles, match reports interviews, interesting stuff. If we pool together it could be awesome. Im crap at making em but im happy to revive my dodgy match reports and the odd article if evrybodys up for it. Well work together this time and make it brilliant. waddya say............
Tarn1, Tarn1, Tarn1 Lets show the official mob how its done, I might be able to infiltrate the players n get some info tee hee BT
Sorry hit wrong key...would love to This sites a hell of a lot better than the official one......lot more entertaining folk on here BT
So, what would you all want? A Forum for match reports? We can always add another Forum to the site which would be solely for Match reports.
seeing as you've asked Here goes:- Somewhere to buy tickets online Match reports Somewhere to buy nike Reds shirts at £15-99, sponsored by the NCB A Windass Sin Bin Persoanl advice column Well you did ask....
RE: seeing as you've asked I agree, and if you windass someone, which is so anal anyway, you should be banned for a month.. Also i didnt know the National Coal Board sponsored us. i still have a donkey jacket somewhere with NCB on the back.. (pint)
ok.. ive made a preview template of the home page (if this was to happen btw) feel free to criticise it and all that.. the navigation section will either go above the news or just below it, whatever looks best really. i can do an example of a player page or squad page if anyone wants me to? also, suggest other pages to add on. preview here:
I'm Sure............. the site admins would love to have an homepage for the BBS so this idea can get off the ground. Working together as a team the idea can fly. I would however worry about using copyright articles, pictures etc. I would think BFC would keep even more of an eye on us for pinching stuff from their site even with an acknowledgement.
the articles would be no problem, people have already said they'd write match reports, so a team of reporters can be put together. as for images... it wouldnt be wise using them from the site, although i could contact them and ask for permission to use images from the site (for non-profit purposes, obviously). If enough people get behind it i dont see why this cant happen
How Many People.......... would be given the homepage server to change things? Or would anything to put up be sent to the one person to put up and do all the work?
depends how its set up really. preferably so that a few people can access it so that the burden isnt on jus one person, but they would need a decent knowledge of using websites to update it and such. ideally, a few would have responsibility for writing and updating the news section, then a few people for the matches and the reports, along with a few to write player profiles, fixtures and all that malarky. needs a bit of thinking really
Be Good............ to stream exclusive videos through megauload on there. That is what my website is going to be doing this weekend. Like ten minute videos of someone talking about the latest footballing matter. For example if it was already up the biggest news at the minute is probably Tonge going to Rotherham. So someone would record themselves chatting about it.
sounds a good idea, we could do with using unique, new ideas like that on here/the site. even if no-one would do video, they could always do it as a weekly radio-like podcast which would be streamed or avaliable for download. thing is, would the admins like/want this? and we need copyright permission big time, as big Gord would probably sue us just for using the term Barnsley FC
