The BBC have accepted a bid from Sheffield Wednesday for Wheelchair bound Andy from Little Britain, BBC Sheffield understands. After watching Andy feeding the ducks earlier, His carer Lou revealed the 34-year-old could be on his way to Sheffield. Lou said: "We've had a very good offer from a Championship side, a big offer and the offer was accepted. "Andy has always wanted to play for a big club and is delighted that despite the fact he is Overweight, in a Wheelchair and unable to visit the toilet by himself (allegedly) that Sheffield Wednesday have given him a chance" Andys's latest TV show finishes in the summer and the BBC would rather cash in on their star asset when the January transfer window opens than lose him for nothing at the end of the series. "We have heard whispers that Sky were looking at him but we have heard nothing yet" commented the BBC chairman. There are some doubters that suspect Andy of being able to walk and just use's the wheelchair because he is lazy but his carer Lou has vigorously denied this. "In the 7 years I have known him I have never seen him move out of that wheelchair" Sources say that negotiations have already taken place in a hotel in Newcastle but were at a tricky stage. A source close to the club has told BBC that "personal terms are proving to be somewhat tricky, at 7 o'clock this evening we had agreed terms with Andy, at 7:10 Andy was heard to say: "I don't like it" and all parties had to gather around the table again and start again from scratch. Sheffield Wednesday, who are managed by Scot Paul Sturrock, may be a strong attraction for Andy due to the huge number of dodgy burger vans in Sheffield City centre. The Sheffield Wednesday chairman has told waiting press at the owls ground "I have personally financed the deal myself, I don't intend to go into figures but this deal underlines the desire for this club to reach the Premier league in 3 seasons and this signing will help us do that. I have seen Andy in action and it was breath taking. Our current strikers are going to have to pull their socks up and work for their places once Andy arrives" Then he got into his big flash car and drove home to his big flash house. The BBC are resigned to loosing the star and admitted that the current series of his show was very poor "We will be sad to see him go but he has served us well and we feel that a split is best for both parties" added the BBC spokesperson. "We accepted an offer from Weight Watchers just before the series got under way and he didn't go there and this is a bigger offer than that."
