    Anyone know why he wasn't involved yesterday?

    I wasn't going to get a season ticket this year but the naivety in me got the better of me when I saw his highlights video and thought that I really wanna see this lad play.

    After watching the championship on 5 this morning though my God this season is going to be like David against 10 Goliath's!

    Strange one seeing as Bird hasn't had a sniff with 1st team all pre-season then gets on bench first game of season.

    Mallan's looked a tough little fella in what I've seen pre-season, very much a Scowen type battler. So I hoped someone would ask that question, and someone would provide the answer because I was surprised to not even see him squad.

    Would that be the same scowen who was consistently the best player at the club over 2 years? QPR highlights on TV hasn't got a shot without him in

    Consistently best player at the club for over two years? Scowen had a very good year last season but I seem to remember that he was behind Pearson, Hourihane and Brownhill in the pecking order in the year we went up, so much so that he was deployed out wide and at right back on numerous occasions. Very good player, just pointing out that he wasn't first choice in League 1. How things change.

    I think we will see him on Tuesday night in the cup game. Hecky will probably do the same to him as he did Moncur, and try and add more to his game.

    I fail to see why he hasn't done the same to Mowatt mind? I really want Mowatt to do well but I get the feeling he will only drop down the leagues rather than climb up them.

    I tend to agree with Mowatt, sadly. I just can't understand it as he breezed through the bleep test so physical fitness isn't an issue and he also has incredible technique, it's just that something hasn't clicked on the field with us, up to press. I really hope he turns it around here as he was the standout player at Elland Road a few years back and really looked destined for the Premier League.

    I've not seen anything positive from Mowatt since he got here. Hourihane money wasted straight away on him - we'd have got more from 6 months of Conor than 3 years of this joker

    Its funny how we like a player from watching a few vid clips, my son rides a scooter and makes videos for instagram, hes goodvat editing all the good bits n putting em together......
