Can't catch my breath....I know I said yesterday watching them that they needed to sign someone up front but not him!

Seriously can see me not watching any Champions League games this season.

Good signing I reckon. Better player than most people give him credit for.

I was thinking that, until I saw this on Facebook earlier

Haha. I dunno, I think they needed more of a goalscorer. A good move for him though and he might get more game time.

Not the answer in my opinion. Wouldn't be surprised if most Arsenal fans are a little underwhelmed

they've essentially signed the 4th choice striker from a team that finished 3 or 4 places below them last year

I'm stunned that a genuine top four team even gave him a second thought.

But they haven't paid top four dollar in all fairness.....well £16m these days is peanuts isn't it?

That's why the sooner the bubble bursts, the better.

Football, the working man's game.......my derriere

    Cracking signing in my opinion.

Talented footballer and far better than what he gets credit for. He'll do well at Arsenal.

If they give him ten games as the central striker and continue to play him there for the rest of the season hell get 20 goals this season. The way arsenal play they don't close down and press press press from the front like he's been asked to do for United, if he's given the luxury of being an out and out striker with no defensive duties he'll get a sack full each season

I don't understand why Danny Welbeck gets so much criticism. He's a fantastic talent. Not much of a goalscorer but he'll suit Arsenals style of play perfectly.

I think he is a decent signing for them. He has a lot to add to his game but has a lot of potential. Wenger may bring him on. Good news for England - hope they play him up top central which is his preferred position.

    Decent signing for me.

People constantly slate his goal scoring record not realising that he spends most of his games on the wing.

The chance to play as the main striker with the likes of Ozil, Alexis & Ramsey feeding him with passes will bring out the best in him.

    & at £16m he's a snip in today's market

Wilfred Bony as a £19 million release clause in his contract so Arsenal could have got Welbeck & Bony for a million pound less then Liverpool paid for Carol there's been some bad prices paid for players recently this isn't one of them

Agree mate. Decent signing for a reasonable price in today's market. He's rarely had the luxury of playing up front for United, and his performances for England have been decent IMO.

I agree. He will up his game from the confidence shown in him to be the main striker, which he never could be at United. He will be eager to impress and hopefully our national side benefit from this move.

Good move for him if he takes the chance to get game time in a similar manner to the way Liverpool has worked out for Sturridge.

Very good player. Good for England that he's gone to a top club, hopefully he will get plenty of chances to impress like Sturridge has done at Liverpool.

You know what happens when you pay peanuts, still if Arsenal have got £16m to pi55 u against the wall then its their loss. You're right about the bubble bursting but if the money being spent in the transfer window is any indicator then it isn't going to happen anytime soon. Sometimes I really hate football and others I just hate it.
