Ask the people that went to his dinner reception at Ardsley House about him

My mate that went told meGoughie left early after spending most of his time there on his mobile and looking disinterested in the event.

RE: Ask David Byas about "Mr Yorkshire"

also about the time Gough was supposed to be playing in a Sunday league match but withdrew because he was "jaded"

but obviously not jaded enough to be playing a golf tournament for his benefit year on the same day...

also about him taking a million from his benefit year then signing for Essex straight after...

Might have a bet on Yorkshire actually winning something this season. Gough return and some very useful signings under the kolpak ruling. Could be a good season.

    I Will........

stick up for him about his benefit year. He earned having that done for him. You bring it up like it was a bribe for him to stay longer. I have no problem with him leaving straight after.

    RE: I Will........

interesting you chose to ignore my first two points...

as for Mr Yorkshire.... when he wasn't on England duty with his central contract he was injured...he moved to Essex to be near his family............in Buckinhamshire....!!!

I believe there is an opt out clause in the contract

nothing like an escape route if it all goes belly up

    RE: I Will........

Your first two points ? I only ignored once. And that was about him being jaded and then going to play golf. To support him on that it was for his benefit year. Plus Golf is hardly going to tire him out like a day in the field would have. He moved to be closer to his family. He wasn't going to play in the minor counties league for Buckinhamshire now was he :D :D :D
