We saw tonight what davey was last season and the reason i took a dislike to him. I was prepared to eat humble pie after the start weve had but last weekend i saw the same old creeping back in - tonight it was there in abundance. Hoof it from the back and hope somene connects. Fact is our forwards aint good enough to win the ball, hold it up and play others in. All we did was lose it. Souza was found out for pace several times and the elbowing not on really. Bad game. McCann extremely poor - if he got the ball - within 2 seconds he would have got shut of it - often to the opposition - no confidence or ability to take it on to try and change the game. God knows how hes an international. Fingers crossed he wont start the next game. Odejayi - Just not good enough. Mostto - Not good enough again. He would make a better midfielder imho. Foster - Sloppy. Werling - often vacated his LB spot and let them in behind him. Ryce - Good on the ball but needs to cross when possible and also not to dribble out of defence. Howard - Non existant - You need to pull the tea through in the bad times as well Brian!!! thats about enough as i can be assed - they were v poor tonight - you could see after 5 mins the exact outcome of the game. Shame wavey davey didnt or couldnt.
Davey's still come on leaps and bounds this season for me.
He reverted back to to a starting 11 that's done him good for the last 7 games or so, can't fault him on that. What you can fault him on is if he keeps the same 11 for Saturday. He needs the guts to drop a couple of them. He's got the in-depth players (apart from forwards) and I'm sure he will do it.
After the game, you could tell he was gutted with the performance and especially in front of the Sky cameras.

i didnt see the interviews after but tonight was a brilliant time to use the "squad" he has assembled. fresh legs all round- Paul reid, Andy Johnson, Kozluk, Rickets, Christenson!!!!! Half a team fresh! Instead we had a team playing twice in 3 days. Whats the point in s squad if you dont use it?
