3rd straight Apt win Today win puts the brit up to 3rd in the male rankings and makes this the scotts best year in terms of prize money
He's certainly on a cracking run of form, just a shame he couldn't have found it when it really mattered. The only thing tennis players are remembered for is winning Grand Slams and, to a lesser extent, achieving No. 1 in the world. All the minor titles and prize money in the world won't make up for a failure to transform his obvious ability into winning a slam, and the clock is already ticking for him.
I can't see him ever winning a Slam. He just isn't good enough. He is the best that Britain have produced for a long time (well it is arguable whether we produced him) but just not up to the very top level.
I couldn't care less about him. No interest in his winning or losing of tennis matches. He doesn't represent my sporting interests whatsoever, and he's a dull individual to boot.
Why bother replying then, tennis is an awesome sport prefer it to football and Murray will win a slam and be no 1 in the world that should silence all you doubters once and for all!
Why bother replying? Because it is a forum for people to give their opinions on topics that are posted. And this forum needs all the posts it can get at the moment. Win a slam and be no1? Your entitled to your opinion but I just can't see it.
the ONLY title that really matters is Wimbledon certainly to the British and also to great many worldwide. Its the Iconic place, like St Andrews at Golf.Ask any golfer what place he would like to win and I reckon a great many will say St Andrews likewise with Wimbledon. Well thats my opinion anyway, anyone disagree then thats fine..its an opinion after all.
Re: the ONLY title that really matters is Wimbledon Murray is a very good tennis player and would certainly have won a couple of grand slams in any other era. Lets just remember he is competing against 2 of the greatest of all time in Federer and nadal, with Djokovic being awesome in the past 2 seasons.
