    Forest Have Done The Same

Other clubs have probably followed suit. It's good to see the club passing on the good news to the fans. Although it won't make any difference at all to the crowds. People don't decide if they should go to a match or not over the sake of a quid.

I wonder if the cuts will be passed on to other parts of the club. For example will catering costs and club shop prices also go down?

    Isn't catering external?

Therefore out of the clubs control?

Been in Maplins this morning -

Yes they have reduced VAT, but tell me that they have increased their prices so all the shop prices remain the same!!!

Yeah but 2.5% off 17.5% of the cost of a burger is a substantial amount of money. Fcking hell fire...

I bought 2 packs Butchers Superior dog food from Morrisons last week, and this week, there is £2 off them. Do you think Ken Morrison will give me £2 back?

The lowering of VAT in NOT retrospective, only on things sold from today onwards is it 15% any previous sale, is just that a previous sale.

RE: No VAT on basic foods

Wrong - VAT is charged on all cooked food.

Therefore, whether that should apply to the burgers and pies is another argument. You could argue it on the cooked or the food bit. :)

It's a pity the same price cut isn't being passed on to season ticket holders

    How would they do that?

Our tickets cost about £12.30 a ticket - can't grumble at that price
