In today's post, a complimentary Oakwell 1887 membership as a thank you for being a 1912 member last year.
Ha ha, fair point, but there is a letter encouraging ST purchase, but the key thing for me is the club won't make the money through the membership card but by people going to more games through the discount available. So it will hopefully do that but also makes you feel valued
I guess they are probably still hoping to convince them to renew? It would seem a backward step at this point?
What I mean is that there should now be an excercise to send a letter to lapsed season ticket holders to encourage them to renew. This might get a few back but I knew it has not been done. If people have not renews by the first week in Augustm then consider sending the free membership.
Totally agree. I didn't get a 1912 card last year, because I had my season ticket for the 18th year running. I've decided not to renew this summer unless something happens that persuades me. Tbf to the club, I'm getting more and more tempted by the day, what with the interesting recruits thus far. So, a letter from the club would be nice, and would perhaps have me down Grove Street ready to sign up once more. Just a thought.
I havent had a season ticket for a 3 years while i've been at uni, but every year they have sent me a letter that is written well and makes me want to get one again but I haven't had the time/money to travel. I was especially impressed with the letter/DVD this year though, I just wish I had the money/knew where I was living so I could get one again. I miss going to Oakwell week in, week out.
That would be a good point matey. Although I haven't yet given the keys back to my Tarn mansion. I do pop back once a week, and check for mail etc.
