    In fairness, they looked like they wanted it more and were much more aggressive going forward. Which doesn't say much for our fringe players.

    Coach got it spot on .
    Resting key players ,giving fringe players a chance.
    What it did prove was why some of these fringe players can't get near first team.
    Was looking forward to seeing likes of Miller proving us all wrong.
    Time for some to move on.

    Barely. Walton hadn't played since Jan, Halme started I think 3 times last season, Moon made 3 appearances, Oduour hadn't played since Swansea in December. Vic made some appearances but he was hardly a regular

    I'd say Williams counts as a half as does Walton given he played over half a season in the championship under Struber.

    And to counter...Miller first start in over 2 years, Benson only his second game, Cole making his first appearance (second time around), Thompson with his first sub appearance, Kane first minutes in ages, Jordan Williams coming back from injury

    Schopp clearly just wanted to take a look at different players and see how they'd fare. Were we good enough to win? No. Does it matter in the grand scheme of things? Also no

    It was a perfect match to have a look at the squad. Feel for the 1500 who went. But result wasn’t important.
    I don’t think anyone came up particularly short, but Schopp will have a better idea who’s in his plans & who isn’t. Especially with the new lads chomping at the bit.
    The usual suspects will piss & moan, but wise folk will know that’s about as important as a pre season friendly. :rolleyes:

    I'd say those who went probably enjoyed seeing mates and having a sing. They sounded in decent voice

    I'd have gone if I wasn't based down south and can't imagine I'd have cared too much about the result given the past 18 months or so

    I enjoyed it so need to feel sorry for me! There were some good moments , Cole had some tricky moments, you can't judge on less than half a game.
