Geoff has been accompanied on his venture to raise money for The Geoff Thomas Foundation by a team of cancer survivors. </p> Coming to the end of the 21-day, 2400-mile cycling challenge was an emotional experience for the Geoff Thomas Foundation team and their friends and family who greeted them in Paris yesterday. </p> Throat cancer survivor Dave Granger from Evesham in Gloucestershire, who lived on a diet of custard throughout the ride, said: "It is exactly a year today since I was diagnosed, so to complete such an immense feat on this day is particularly special for me." </p> During celebrations in Paris last night, Geoff thanked his fellow team- mates in saying: "Your achievement represents the essence of the Geoff Thomas Foundation: showing others just what they are capable of, giving people who face cancer hope for their future and creating a united front to fight the disease." </p> Geoff has pledged to fund research nurses at five leukaemia centres across the UK: London, Manchester, Nottingham, Oxford and Birmingham. Geoff was lucky enough to find treatment for his leukaemia through a successful bone marrow transplant from his sister. However, there are still many people for whom a suitable treatment cannot be found, which is why funding from the Geoff Thomas Foundation is so important. </p> Visit the official Geoff Thomas Foundationwebsite by CLICKING HERE.</p></div></div></div></div></td><td class="layout teaserColumn" valign="top"><div class="layout"><div class="article"></div></div></td></tr></tbody></table>
