You've done the country proud , since Rooney was sent off and Sven's tactics went out of the window . Pity the Swede didn't allow the lads to unleash that passion and commitment when we had 11 men .

Jermaine Jenas, Theo Walcott? - why

To me, bringing Walcott on in extra time would have given us pace up front and someone for Crouch to lay the ball off to. But then, what do I know...

Seems that Sven had no intention of playing him at all..!

Once we'd gone down to ten men

And shrugged off the shackles of Sven's tactics , I thought the team gave everything they'd got . Unfortunately , we took some very poor penalties against a very good goalkeeper .
I'm convinced that had we adopted a more positive approach to our game during the World Cup , then we'd have had a great deal more success .

NO !!!!!!!!!! Sorry, Biglil, but overall we've been poor.

Five games in which we underperformed and looked dreadfully slow and unimaginative.
Have to say though, there have been some quite poor games throughout, but that's no consolation.

    When Rooney was sent off

I said we might as well go out - could we honestly see us beating France or Brazil with Crouch playing on his own up front?!

    Agreed

    Well done to the players

Unfortunately we had a muppet as manager. 9 midfielders and 3 strikers, his forehead makes his brain look big, but it cant be that big.

    RE: Agreed

I thought we were poor, poor tonight, and poor through-out the tournament. Wrong tactics, and over-rated players. Plus there was to much hype from the media going into this world cup. Lampard and co are only decent club players. England will never win another world cup having the journalistic and media B*ll*cks rubbed in their faces from day one.

I wish Finland were as "poor" as England then...
