From BBC Ricky Hatton survived a pair of cuts to unify IBF and WBA light welterweight titles with a ninth-round knockout of ungainly Colombian Carlos Maussa. Already the IBF champion, Hatton made a reckless start in Sheffield, emerging from a round one head clash with blood streaming from above his left eye. The Briton landed all the telling blows and won each round of the bout, but was cut above his other eye in the third. Hatton had to wait until the ninth to finish off Maussa with a big left hook.
cant comment as i dont pay for things on box office. was going to go watch it but after the trip to swindon i couldn't be bothered. Suppose the credit is that he did win
Yeah he won, but, after over-pricing his tickets he gave an average performance. I'm a fan of his so not grinind an axe
hatton was always in control. he got headbutted and still won convincingly. never once did the columbian look like he was going to win.
