They are dealing within their means and not prepared to risk us heading towards administration again by being held to ransom by someone we want. No player is bigger than the club and you would have thought Misfud would be willing to take a paycut to come to a club that wants him. Not very ambitious of Misfud to turn down first team Football most likely over money. We should be backing the management and Mr Cryne.
Personally I don't blame Misfud If he can get that wage then why should he take less. Similarly Jamie Ward. Fair play to them. But fair to play to the club as well for not destabalising the club by paying it. Its like going to an auction, you set your top price and don't ever exceed it
Back to league one..that makes financial sense. How on earth do we expect to stay in this league with 4th division wages?
I don't blame them either, but they should be honest. Jamie Ward said he didn't join us because he didn't want to be in a relegation fight. which is tosh because had we met his terms, he would've been our player 2 weeks before Blunts signed him
What Doesn't Make Financial Sense......... is taking a gamble by paying someone with two goals this season far too much money, getting relegated anyway and being stuck with paying his wages with way less money coming in.
Oh yes. I mean Anderson, Muller, Moore, Kozluk etc - they're all on fourth division wages. I'm just waiting for your mates club to go bust once they fail in going up this season.
