Fergies refuses to give a interview for years after the BBC programme about his son.

So what do they do? Open match of the day with a Fergie tribute and Man Utd the main game!!!

Why wouldn't you??? It's the story that has dominated the weekend's sports pages today and beyond. It would be utterly bizarre to start the show with anything else. Fergie's beef was with the Panorama show about football agents that dragged his son Jason into proceedings, but the snub was pan-BBC, so MOTD, Focus etc suffered the consequences. There have been many attempts to get him to acquiesce during those years, so now that he's said okay, what do you do, tell him to **** off???? You're just odd.

And naturally, you'd put Man Utd before Man City in the running order; that's how the drama unfolded - narrow win for United puts pressure on City going into teatime kick-off. No other sensible way to do it unfortunately.

Is he the only person to stay in 1 job for 25 years?

What about people like my Grandad who did 40 odd years down the same pit?

Will the BBC give you a tribute if you last 25 years?

Well done your grandad, but a tribute to him would look a bit odd on MOTD. Maybe they can fit him in after Blackburn-Chelsea. I'm actually just coming up to 23 years, so I'll just settle for a few jars down the boozer.

So should Mancini stay at City for twenty years and win shedloads of silverware, you're saying there shouldn't be any sort of tribute to him?? Yeah right.

I have seen no-one more bitter than you on here whenever Man Utd are mentioned ! Is it because you are now scared that they will become the second team in Manchester? I think its bloody silly for anyone from this side of the pennines to support ANY team from Lancashire, I include City, Utd, Liverpool,Everton etc. I realize that some people just like to support the winning team, but I find it sad and shallow.

Shouldn't have to explain myself to you but here goes. I know ESL and always have digs at him about the City thing and I know for a fact if I had gone too far with him he'd tell me to shut up! As for you finding it silly for anyone to like a team from Lancashire that's your opinion. No glory hunting where ESL is concerned as he's liked city since he was a kid. Same for me with ManUtd I got taken to their games with family who are Mancs and there was no glory hunting watching them in the early 80's.

I do think City will go on to win many trophies, I won't like it but I'm sure I'll cope and be able to function in life without having a meltdown.
