a solid team performance...really difficult to pick out a man of the match, quite honestly they were all excellent

I would still question teh selection of Colgan, but at least applaud Ritchie for having the balls to select him after last season...he was very lucky not to cost us a goal just before we scored and make a very bad mistake in not coming for the cross that lead to their penalty...although to be fair it was a good penalty save.

All the defence played well with only a couple of scary moments and the midfield worked hard and kept going. I can honestly say that McPhail surprised me: within five minutes he'd put a crunching tackle in and put about five shots in +throughout the match. Burns was steady and did what he's good at. Shuker was his usual self and Williams continued his good preseason form

I thought Hays and Nardiello seemed to link up well togther and although I was disapointed with Nardy's penalty he made up for it with his great setup for Shuker, who finished well

Wroe also impressed when he came on

Overall, there's a lot to be positive about, let's hope we can keep it going at Scnuthorpe on Tuesday
