I only saw the live stream and we looked half reasonable until they scored, then we were terrible until our goal, just launching it up field, poorly timed headers and the crowning turd in the water pipe, Davies's kick straight out of play. Still got a point though COYR.
The only people who slag the Teams efforts, the Managers efforts, and the clubs position, are the gobshites that sit in the pub wi knowt better to do than make a point they know f=== all about. Get off ya arses go and watch a game before making a comment on summat that ya aint even watched . Good solid performance today well done lads, theres a lot of decent fans out ere that appreciate wot ya doing, at this difficult time.
The three blokes behind me in the West stand lower spent the entire game slating the team, talking about Alexa and the size of Yiadom’s penis.
It was just massive. Obviously. Because he is black. They don’t like Alexa. Certainly not as much as Andy yiadom’s ****.
I don't think anyone is really doubting the effort being applied, certainly in comparison to the previous side that got relegated from this division. The problem is a lack of quality, pure and simple. We can all see that the lads are trying and are a very honest bunch, probably too honest at times. We are, essentially, a team of League One and Two players, with a smattering of young kids from academies. We are clearly not up to Championship standard yet as a team, nor are many players individually up to that standard. Perhaps if we accept this truth, the results and performances will appear a lot more acceptable and understandable. I myself have been bitterly disappointed recently with performances, but in the summer I had us down for bottom spot, certainly after the opening day at Bristol. A combination of taking too much hope from our victories and naive expectation that Hecky could repeat last season's heroics have raised my expectations of the team above where they should be. The managing of expectations is an unambitious and dispiriting notion from the past, with echoes from Keith Hill's tenure. But this season, perhaps we really do have to understand where we are as a team. We simply are not that good, indeed we're probably the fourth or fifth weakest team in the league on paper. If we stay up, even by a point, it's a good achievement. As boring and unambitious as that seems, it's the truth. Maybe the takeover will bring about investment that allows us to aim higher straight away. But otherwise, we will probably have to accept that we are aiming to stay up, something still very achievable. I believe with the right additions in January we will stay up, certainly with the fans on board.
Are you sure they weren't saying yiadom IS a massive **** and were they definitely talking about alexa or 'hecky'. With an hemsworth accent they can sound similar.
The thing is, the more games you fail to win, and we've won very, very few this year, the less the performances matter. It's great to equalise in the last minute against a team who seem to have some sort of pox over us, but it's just another game we've failed to win when those below us nearly all won today. We might have played better than recently but we still only scored once, in the last minute. Heckingbottom, as the coach, has to take some flak despite all that's gone on around him. He is not infallible, but I still want him as manager of my club.
