and another 150k in the coffers - which seems to be going straight back into the team, yet all we hear is moaning.
Some people will moan at owt. Had we lost 7-0 like we did at Man City then people would be moaning. Rightly so too. But tonight definately shouldn't be one of those nights. A weakened 1st team coming home from a (tough) Premiership club, having only lost 2-0 is good enough for me.
Im not swiping at anyone in particular mate, and especially not you. Yours is a valid point, but like I mentioned earlier, Davey has his own thoughts - and at the moment I back him 100%. Long may it continue. I think (touch wood) we have a VERY good manager here.
Aye i'd definately say he's got better and i think injuries aside we should be at least good for mid-table this term wy the team he's assembled. It just niggles me that in games like this he doesn't try these little experiments of 2 new strikers together but that may change in time, here's hoping eh!
i Have to say on this occassion SD got it spot on. If we had gone there and attacked there is a possiblity it may have brought a goal, extra time and even a win............albeit a remote possibility. Much more likely they would ahve murdered us (aka our first 15 games in the Prem Season) If we went there to stifle their game and rely on the break this to me was a much more sensible approach - and much more likely to snatch something the longer the game went on. The one thing we didnt want is a trouncing to knock the confidence that seems to be growing game by game. I seems the hand balled 2nd goal put a different complexion on the game. Talking of the Prem it seems the refs are still as media influenced towards the 'big clubs' as they were back in 1997/1998. Well done again SD.
