Well, don't know if it was just me, but I thought that was fantastic.

Everything. The atmosphere, the result, and the gritty performance.

Started slowly but they didn't look particularly threatening, couple of headers wide/over, and then Diego took centre-stage. An outstanding freekick, absolutely unsavable.

We saw out the rest of the half fairly comfortably - few scares on crosses but Mellor was marshalled well.

Started the 2nd half very, very slowly and was beginning to worry, until we attacked out of nowhere. VERY CLEVER backheel from ODEJAYI (Yes, him) finding JCR who went down. Soft penalty for me, but I'll take it. Macken took it very, very well, waiting for the keeper to move.

Looking comfortable and results starting to go our way elsewhere, it could never be that simple for us could it? Seemingly out of nowhere, we scored an OG. Difficult to tell exactly what happened from where we were. Then had to weather a storm with Steele coming to the fore, before we got our grip back in the game and Odejayi forced a very good save, with Macken and Leon also wasting decent openings.

    Particularly positive performances:
Van Homoet: Gets a lot of stick on here at times but had a very, very solid game, with good pace too.
Souza: Solid as ever. Another who gets some weird stick.
Macken: Very hardworking, grafted particularly in the 2nd half, and stood up to be counted for the penalty with no Howard.

    MAN OF THE MATCH:
Diego Leon: Superb. People who thought he offered nothing are seeing something very different with him in central midfield. Seems impossible to tackle him, his passing is impeccable, and scored a truly magnificent freekick. Some great runs to keep possession late on - uncovered a real gem in his natural position.

Disappointed with Hassell (whose passing was atrocious) and also thought JCR wasn't quite at his best, but grafted very hard.

The atmosphere was a major positive. Off the top of my head:
    "One Stephen Foster"
    "Der-Der-Der, Lewin Nyatanga."
"Diego, oh-oh-oh-oh, he came from Real Madrid, to play for Barn-sa-lee"
    "Der-der-de-de, Odejayi!"
"One Jonny Macken." "Super Johnny Macken".
    "Istvan Ferenczi!"

So nice to actually hear us chant for our players, in unison. We packed the away end and the atmosphere was excellent.

Great win Reds, one more at home and we're safe.

He has more space/freedom without Howard, JCR out of position

a lot, he was playing in the middle and he is not good enough there, he is a natural winger, his best moments were when he was out wide, Hassell did gice the ball away a lot but looked good pushing forward

I'm not sure mate, its the same tune as "Kay-ode, oh-oh-oh-oh, Kay-ode, oh-oh-oh-oh, scored two for Barn-sa-lee, can't score at Wem-ber-lee."

It was just fantastic today, loved it.

Completely agree mate with pretty much everything, what a great day.

These are better words- "Diego, oh-oh-oh-oh, he came from Real Madrid, via Worsborough bridge" :D
