    If we do

We might stop playing like frightened rabbits and start going at teams for the full 90 minutes again.

    Have we got the bottle?

not sure we have. oh, we can play a bit, and we've learnt how to mix it, but have we got the minerals to hold a lead and close out a game? does our manager have enough tactical nouse to make changes to ensure we dont turn 3 points into 1 on a regular basis again? time will tell.

whats wrong with pointing out the FACTS?

It depends if the facts are true. In your case this is not usually the case.

    We have enough

I just hope that Ritchie's tone after Huddersfield isn't repeated. He went on about us "over achieving" and how he only expected a point from the Huddersfield game anyway.

I found that staggering. We're one of the best attacking sides in the league, and conceding a goal into injury time should have had him raging at the team. 2 points pissed away.

However, the team must be under instruction to sit on a lead and defend deep. This will cost us an automatic promotion spot. This team is good enough for top 2. I just don't think the manager shares that belief and that shows in some of our performances defensively.

No team has run away this season

top 6 places probably wont be decided until late in the season, perhaps even last 2 or 3 games. I hope we're not thinking job done already, cos the seasons only half way. we need to recover the form that put us into 4th, not fussed about scoring 5 but back to back wins breeds confidence.

personally I want Oldham to win because..

otherwise Southend are that much harder to catch-win our game in hand and we leap frog back above Oldham on goal difference</p>

Personally I hope we do drop out of the playoffs this weekend!

If Oldham and Southend only draw less points are dished out between clubs - we drop out of the playoffs but are better off in the long term.

    Chesterfield v Bradford is off.

Still no idea how we'll do this season

I've seen us play like proper stars (Bradford away in cup is the best I've seen for years) and I've seen us play like a bunch of numpties (Rotherham at home stands out, but there have been others) so no idea where we'll end up. We've even seen both sides of the team in the same game. We were great in the first half against Hartlepool, shocking in the second.

I think we probably rely on Devaney and Shuker too much. When they're on form they frighten the life out of defenders, who then get out of position and allow Hayes the space to show what he can do. At our best we're probably the best attacking side in the division. When Shuker and Devaney aren't doing it we look very ordinary.

    Consistency is the key

think we are capable of beating any of the top six over 2 games, and even raising ourselves for a final, but can we put enough wins together to finish up there? we have to start consistently beating teams at home, 8 out of 10 home games left is minimum requirement.
