.... I dont think the team are a million miles away. The team do play some good passing football and do have a decent share of posession in a lot of games. However its the marginal things that are costing us. There are one or two errors at the back from time to time and in the final third there is a lack of punch. I do think, as I say, that we're not miles away but we need to address the obvious issues. I have complete faith in Hillflicker as they have managed a declining budget superbly in my opinion. I also do think we will start climbing the table when everyone is fit. I have faith that things will improve results wise.
I think you're right, yesterday more variety in play...use the longer ball sometimes, and ffs don't be frightened to shoot...might have got us something in the second half,I would say however if Mido never makes it back to being a real footballer,we need to fetch another striker in.
Yes, Im thinking the same. We've had real bad luck at the begining of the season. About 12 players out injured and then 2 of our most important players out injured - Foster and Davies. We can cover almost any position in the team - but the injuries has shown there are a couple of weak points in the squad. 1) No cover for Foster i.e. there isnt a replacement tall centre half at the club 2) No cover for Davies i.e. there isn't another real goal scorer at the club When everybody is back from injury we should be ok.............but by that time, if we keep on losing, the confidence of the players might be shot, so by then it could be difficult to recover Its worrying..........AGAIN It looks like the panic button has been pressed at the club and there is a scramble for loan signings to be brought in This is something that Keith Hill said he didnt want to do at the begining of the season
I can't disagree with much said in this thread. My major concern is why we are having so many injuries and why do our players seem to stay injured for so long. A big injury list combined with players letting Keith down (they know who they are) means an uphill struggle but I also think Keith is good enough to make sure we'll be ok.
Which is why we need Mellis & Cywka firing. They haven't for the past few games which is no coincidence when we've not looked like scoring. Davies big loss, too. We'll be reight.
We need em all firing most of the time to keep our head above the water. Mellis seems to be getting little room of late to play and aint coping plus he`s still fecked after 70 mins. Hoping O`Brien will be back in the mix soon give us summat a bit different.
