Aye, we lost to a team who spent £4m on players in the summer. What a disgraceful shock.

We're all miserable tonight, but we're one point away from being out of the drop zone. We're not down yet despite what many seem to believe. Southend, Hull and Leeds are with us, Colchester WILL collapse, Ipswich & Luton will be down there too IMHO.

You'd think we'd officially been relegated tonight.

What did you tell us that wasn't obvious?

That it was going to be tough? That we'd struggle in this division? That Ritchie was an inexperienced manager? That we could do with strengthening the team?

We're not Cardiff, or Leeds for that matter. We're an unfashionable team operating on a limited budget and trying to make the most of what we've got. Those of us amongst us with an optimistic outlook (happy-clappers, if you like) are not stupid, we just want to believe that sometimes, despite the harsh reality of the situation, good things happen.

RE: What did you tell us that wasn't obvious?................nothing........except and importantly

Except....... that it wasn't obvious to the majority who post on here
Most said we would survive easily with the squad we had got

But what was also pointed out at the time was that if these buddy buddy tactics by Ritchie didn't work and the team started to lose......then once the rot set in it would be a very difficult job to turn things round
Now Ritchie admits we need experienced players, but this has only been a recent development by Ritchie and it must be said Shep as well
I know shep has told the lads watching training that we have enough young lads such as Atkinson that are good enough for us to stay in this league
So now they both have woken up............
Which experienced player of any value wants to join a relegation threatened team ???
And even if we bring in 3 experienced players now, Ritchie was a hell of a job getting the team to start thinking about winning a match
The losing mentallity has set into the team

It all could have been different if he brought experienced players in at the right time ie after Cardiff
At this time it would have given the team a lift.....it would have also kept the feel good factor with the fans going

You're not a visionary. Get over it.

Most people did not think that we would survive 'easily'. What are you on about? You gimp.

I'm not a visionary

i admit, and I often have done on here, that I know little about football
But i could see, along with a few others that we would be in trouble if we stayed with the same squad
Although the majority were giving me and these handfull of others some stick at the time
Negative - was a word often used

So if I don't know much about football.......what does the majority on here know about football
