More than any manager we've had since Wilson, there were times when I thought we could be at the start of something special, but unfortunately over the past few months he seemed to run out of ideas and made some baffling decisions, both in interviews and on the pitch. He didn't really leave the board with any option by the end and actually seemed to be baiting them into sacking him at times. Hopefully the new manager will be appointed sooner rather than later, so he can be involved in the January dealings.

How is it a shame in 18 months we were in a good position with the remains of robins team last xmas then downward he dident even get us enough points to stay up if portsmouth hadent gone into admin we would have been down and he dident improve this season after all mistakes at end of last season even robins davey and others got us enough points and some games to cheer about so i say good riddens nobody can be or has been as bad

He seemed resigned to being sacked, after the Birmingham game away he was in demand but the team was sussed on tv for all to see, rather sad at his sacking I truly think we were out of our depth and could not compete with the teams around us in money terms,I think he would have brought us straight back up.

Good post, I was as optimistic as I have been at any time in the last few seasons at points during Keith's reign - namely after the Leeds game a year ago, and more recently after Brum away when I really thought we were going in the right direction and had recovered from the loss of Butterfield and Vaz Te. Genuinely very sad that it hasn't worked out for Keith Hill at Oakwell.
