Agreed. Normally don't like them but think they've put on a great spectacle, some great touches though I wasn't impressed with Mr Bean and Arctic Monkeys. The flame lighting was a great touch, well kept secret as was the caldron which was spectacular.
Well I've loved it - its been bloody great. We will make these olympics a spetacular success and we should all be very proud. We are indeed a country capable of great things. Watching the start of the games and the feelgood factor they will bring to the country over the next 3 weeks, makes me a bit sick that we have people like Mark Sewotka who was prepared to try and sabotage it and shame the country in the process.
Got to disagree, it was all very good especially Arctic Monkeys and mr bean. Macca to end was great even if he was a bit flat.
Aye, especially when the government fooks up with security and has to draft in over 10000 military to hide their fook up, yes, successfully bodged in parts i agree!
Arctic who? Honestly, does anyone know who they are outside the UK? Hardly a high-profile, world-renowned band, which is what I would expect at the Olympics. Instead we get some off-key punk-wannabes screeching into microphones. Awful. And as I said in another post, Paul McCartney should give up now. And Dizzy Rascal, who's he? The live music (not the recorded stuff which showed us how good British music can be) was very poor - the only disappointment of the night, for me. Ah well, each to their own, I suppose.
How much did the stunt cost to throw the queen out of an helicopter?? They should have seen me I'd have done it for free!!!
