    they are very, very good side. At least we have not slipped out of the top 10, but If Villa win by 3 clear goals then we would slip to 11th. In the aftermath of this last week events and rumours could easily have unsettled the squad, we can now move on a little and get going again. Take out Blackpool and then hopefully wins against Leeds and Rotherham and we will be back on track again. Wolves and Preston at home are both winnable too.

    Yeah - just the 5 wins in a row and we're steaming. Plus we're done now with transfers.

    However, there is another possible scenario - 5 straight losses, CH JB MW and MR out of the door following SW and (somewhat weirdly) the CE too....

    The more objective conclusion may be that we get a few points to ensure safety early this season, and ponder upon the sad fact that football is governed by money such that if your team does well in the first half of the season, if you can't splash the cash, then your team will disintegrate and you're back in the gutter where the enriched believe you belong.
