then I think you're all very sadly mistaken. All these messages addressed to "Mr Shepherd" etc etc.......... save your breath. He's not going to bother with you lot. Maybe he goes away from Oakwell believing all's allright. He/they got what they wanted as far as manager and players were concerned, and perhaps £300,000 is a price worth paying. Perhaps pig-headed stubbornness and a refusal to look facts in the face will allow him/them to sleep well at night. I mean, he won't have had to pay 15 quid tonight like you other poor sods. And no, I couldn't be arsed to go tonight..... good decision methinks.... so it's really £300,015 down the pan.
RE: Well, I hope GS reads this - it's not a rant. It's obvious your appointment of SD isn't working - the results speak for themselves. He's failing tactically, and possibly also as a motivator, and it's unsurprising, as he's a novice and was given a huge task of raising a team that was at the time 3rd from bottom. If Simon Davey COULD change things, he would have done so by now. You must take responsibility - the situation we were in called for EXPERIENCE in a manager, not for a novice experimenting with his ideas. I know it's early days but there's no light at the end of the tunnel, with SD apparently unable to change things round, and time running out. I think few people would have wanted AR sacked if they knew the alternative was the appointment of an untried youth team coach. Simon Davey obviously wants to do well, but again it seems very evident that he'll be unable to stop the rot. The role you gave him was too much for someone with so little experience, and you must accept responsibility for that. Something's got to be done, you just can't let things drift, as that way we're doomed to relegation. Keep him on in his previous role if he was effective there, but bring in someone with experience to get us out of this decline before it's all too late. If there's another defeat at Luton on Saturday you must swallow your pride, admit you got it wrong, and ACT.
No he just moans about 'Internet site talking rubbish' seems he blames us for the things that go wrong rather than himself. Or maybe he does and we don't know. Incidentially he seems to have signed 2 new players today, Marvin Kamara from Cardiff and Luke Rodgers from Crewe, we the fans were under the impression they couldn't afford anyone else till Leon had Gone
